Just outside the historic market town of Lewes, The Field Sussex is a small cut flower and herb field rooted in biodynamic principles and a deep respect for the rhythms of the land. We grow slowly and seasonally, guided by nature rather than haste, nurturing soil health as the foundation for every stem and leaf we harvest. Each bunch reflects our commitment to working with the seasons, encouraging biodiversity, and cultivating flowers and herbs that feel alive with the character of this place.
field Offerings
Bouquets - Hand-tied, seasonal bouquets gathered fresh from the field. Each arrangement reflects what is naturally flourishing; scented herbs, heirloom blooms, and textural foliage, thoughtfully composed and wrapped with care.
Event Floristry - Naturally abundant flowers for weddings, gatherings and celebrations. We create arrangements that feel generous, romantic and rooted in the landscape always led by the season and grown here in our field just outside Lewes.
Seasonal Flower Subscriptions - A regular delivery of the field through the growing season. Subscribers receive ever-changing bouquets that chart the rhythm of the year, from the first tulips and narcissi to late summer dahlias and autumn seedheads.
Pick Your Own Days - Slow afternoons among the flowers. Join us in the field to gather your own stems, learn what’s in season, and experience the simple pleasure of harvesting directly from the land.
Workshops - Hands-on floral and seasonal workshops inspired by biodynamic growing and natural design. From bouquet making to wreaths and herbal gatherings, each session is rooted in creativity and connection to the land.
Supper Clubs - Long-table seasonal suppers set among the flowers. We collaborate with local cooks to celebrate what’s growing, fresh herbs, edible flowers and produce, creating relaxed evenings of food, conversation and community.
